Just back from a NASA DE..

Hit Nashville Super Speedway before it closes at the end of this year...what a FINE facility.. Nice garages and track layout...sorry to herar it is closing.
While there I managed to earn my "John Deere" sticker with my FIRST and probably NOT my last off course excursion...the LS IS certified as an "off road vehicle" right?! No damage except to my EGO and needing a change of drawers!

How fast were you going when you earned your sticker?

I was around 55-58 according to the speedo...just enough to give me a good "pucker factor!"

Congrats! It's good to get an excursion out of the way early in your experience. I did it the first time out in my Cobra R at Roebling Road. Only I was going about 80 when it happened. My buddy called it the largest dust cloud in the history of the track..no harm done, except for my ego.

Funny you say that right after posting your bloopers videos.

In all seriousness, we've all been there.
Just don't make a habit of it!

If you never go off, you're not driving hard enough

It's like motorcycle riding. Theres those that have gone down and those the will go down.

Here are some pics from my last trackday which was May of last year. Before the ditch, after the ditch and a poor guy that went off in his brand new Chevy Cobalt and rolled it.
