So it has some leather on the center console. So what. The Mustang has been and will always be a 'working' man's car. That will never change so the interior will always take a backseat to the engine. Not like Chevy hasn't been doing that for awhile now with the Vette.

Wow, look at the exterior temp readout on Jimmy's Boss - 105!! I am glad I live in Houston where it is so much cooler than Austin. I only saw 100 on my temp display yesterday. Good think TX DPS doesnt write speeding citations based on the temp display.

I am always stunned at supposedly smart people missing the intent (of any product) in this case the Mustang. Besides that, to me the best thing about this car is that it is a Mustang! Any other car with this performance, I probably would not have purchased. The Mustang is NOT a Luxury sports car, ITS a MUSCLE Car you idiot! It must indicate what a low-brow individual I am, It never even occured to me the Mustang interior was cheese Plastic! I Guess thats what happends when you fall in love!

He's missing the point for sure, but it's pretty entertaining. I like the line where he is talking about the sound tube and the quad exhaust, and he says "why don't you just put cards in the spokes". It's kinda true. You didn't have to TRY and make a car loud in the old days, they just were.

and that is Fords fault or any car maker for that matter? That has to do with government regulations and the fact that many would complain it is too loud. Things are different now then they were in the 60's. What Ford did with the Boss was a gift. Adding the side pipes was an extra, giving us the ability to change the sound to our liking for for noting by removing them or a few dollars by using different size openings. I can find better things to complain about.

The fact is Ford has done a lot of research with the exhaust to find a middle ground for many customers and live with in over-burdening regulations. After market companies spend little to make something just loud for a select few. Maybe some are good, I can speak for all aftermarket companies but I would not want to live with an annoying highway drone to to sound cool at a stoplight.

Downshifting in this car evokes racy off-throttle overrun sounds—a phlegmy, overheated cough, like Amy Winehouse after a 100-yard dash. This is a stupid and utterly adolescent sound and I'll take two.

Love that line...he might be missing the point of what the Boss is intended for. But still a good article. And most of what he had to say praised the Boss for what it is meant for...driving dynamics, and racing. And the Porsche center stack may look the same, but all you have to do is look at the dash around it. You see the stitched leather. Dont see why people get so defensive just because they say something negative about the Mustang. All mustangs have issues, and i'll keep on driving them anyway

He does seem to like the car, but hasn't had time in the week that he had it to "drop the sledge properly and truly," since he was too busy critiquing the playskool gagues and such.

Some people, like Neil, make their living banging things without ever creating things of their own, and that's what he does. He also apparently like to write about fornicating in Ford Expeditions, and then stomping his feet around like a playskool aged brat when he's called on the carpet for it.

Dan doesn't like the car's interior, and that's fine, I seem to remember that the interior was the "low" in Road and Track, or Motor Trend, or one of those magazines where a bunch of middle age guys wax poetic about the latest creation from Italy, but that's just it. The Boss 302 is a supercar for us real people, something that us in the under 100k crowd can afford.

This car is America, a little bit loud and tacky at times, but not ashamed of its comman man linage.

"The problem with making a silk purse out of a sow's ear is that your purse will still smell faintly of bacon."

The smell aside, what kind of taste does it leave in the mouth of drivers whose cars cost three times as much getting passed by this swine?

The whole appeal of the Boss is the spartan interior with race car engine and suspension.
Yesterday a gut in a Porche 911 Cab pulled up next to my Boss at a stop light aand commented on how sweet the car looked-- he mentioed he just read about it in the WSJ. I thanked him and when the light turned green proceeded to dust him by a mile.

Now that the WSJ has given the Boss credibility, the BMW and Porsche owners are taking notice. BTW where are the comaparo articles om the Boss vs the M3? Are the mags afraid of losing their ad dollars from BMW once the Boss kicks the M3's a**?.
