My car was picked up by one of the trucking companies Ford uses on Thursday July 28th. Eta was July 29th. Then Aug 5th then Aug 1st now Aug 7th. I could have dropped a car at EVERY Ford dealer between Mi and Tn and still have been here. You would thing this was the easy part of their job. Cars change and how you build them changes. Deluvering them has been the same for 100 years.

 

Someone sounds like they're going a little mental. You ordered a car, not a cake. Relax a little.

 

Ford doesn't deliver cars... That's like me getting pissed at you for DHL delivering my package late.

 

Thanks for the input. Walmart can deliver a cake at $10 when they say they will. I guess your right I should not expect the same from Ford at $45000. I did not demand they deliver on my schedule. FORD is the one setting dates. So Id sugguest you might be the one going mental. Forgot the :-)

They do pick the companies they use and I was really pointing out how idiotic their etas were. If they dont know, and they should, then just say they dont know.

 

 

I must be from a different planet. Because when I ordered my 55000 dollar mustang I didn't think I was getting it the next day or even wanted it the next day for that matter. I wanted it done right the first time nice and slow and I wanted the deliver guy to go even slower and be very cautious. There are a few videos out there with deliver guys screwing up and with the car at delivery. Do you really want it like that?

 

Did you even read my reply? Let me use your example. Your delivery guy, do you want him to tell you that he will bring your car tomorrow, and then call back and say nope it will be Friday and then call back and say Thursday? Thats what I was trying to point out as being screwed up. Apparently everyone here works for Ford or I just totally did not explain well enough. :-) again

 

I don't think they're gonna start flying cars around because the buyer can't wait to drive his new car. (unless they already do that, and I'm just out of the loop ) But chill brah, you'll get your car. Don't get hung up on eta's.

 

I'm sorry, but you're the one checking the e.t.a. (estimated not guarantee) the dealer will call you when it gets there. Stop looking.

 

I must really suck at this. Would it have hit you all different if I had titled this How funny is Ford? I was not trying to say they should fly my car to me. I was trying to say ETAs should be the easiest thing Ford has to do and the way they do it has not changed in 100 years. I find it funny/ screwed up that they suck at it so bad.

There is nothing to let go. Im getting a Boss sometime. I got a little POed at being called mental about a post I thought was funny. Apparently Im the only one. Not the first time wont be the last. I have a warped sense of humor.

Yes that is funny. Im trying to explaine the joke and get POed because someone is joking with me. I swear I started this thread with a snicker in my heart. I still thing its funny that they can spec design test produce market and sell a car like the Boss and they shrug their shoulders when it comes to how long to get it from factory to dealer. :-)

When I ordered my GT it was about 3 weeks late from original eta so id say your doing all right
