I ask as an HPDE junkie. I'm wondering how many of you intend to make yours as regular track cars, 1/4 mile cars, show cars, or daily drivers.

I've noticed that there is a strong emphasis on quarter mile times, understandable given the community, and I'm really wondering how many of you I expect to see push the car in all facets of its capabilities.

 

HPDE, drag strip, cruising, shows, whatever get me behind the wheel.

HPDE, Autocross, and occasional show car with really happy 5 and 6 year old sons in the back screaming "faster daddy!!!"

 

Keep it in storage and sit in it making racing sounds

 

Mostly a daily driver, with my wife and two kids

 

Daily driver from March to November (maybe longer given the weather). I'll probably hit the dragstrip 4-5 times and several autocrosses.

The Boss is for the Boss (Wife) and since she drives like Parnelli, I thought it only fitting she had one.

I hope it keeps her out of mine more but she likes the rush from go button in the GT500.

 

Some how I think she is going to be the one having trouble keeping you out of hers lol

 

It won't be a daily driver, but I certainly plan on driving it around, and it seems like it would be sort of a shame if it didn't see the track at least once in a while.

 

Mine will be a our family weekend car and will hit the track 3-4 days a year. I might even take it to the local drag strip but I doubt I'll do that often. I've never run the 1/4 before so that looks like the perfect place to test launch control.

I too am a HPDE junkie. I need to drive my Boss. I drive my 70 Boss so I don't think I'll give this one a break. I do not take my 70 on the track. It has manual steering so at my age I'd be worn out in 1 lap. It would be sad to let it sit in the garage and I'd go crazy. Ya got to let it run.

 

I'm gonna pull the engine and put glass over it for a coffee table. Then gonna drop a hybrid engine in it to do hpde's. Figure I can get better gas mileage that way and with the 4 exhaust outlets it will sound really cool.
