HOOD PINS
HOOD PINS
I am looking for some hood pins for my GB boss. Not like the cheesey ones that AM sells. I have seen some in pictures on some forums and in the magazines but can't find anyone who sells them. I have also seen some on the tiger racing hoods.
I got mine thru Dallas mustang...part #66089... Take a look and see if they match yours...it will take some time for me to measure.
If your talking about more in the center than yeah. I used as a guide the rubber stoppers or bumpers for the hood on where to install mine on both of my cars and on my buddies 07
Those aren't exactly what I would call flush, the Aerocatch do have a completely flush system though that sits flush with the hood. http://www.aerocatch.com/aerocatch2

Hella flush even, though I do like how simple your pins are. The Aerocatch take patience and a steady hand to get the job done. Also if anyone goes with them I would suggest lock washer and nylock nuts for the bottom. Had one wiggle loose on me.
Do you have a pic of what the hood looks like underneath? How do they secure?

They didn't come with the backing plates and instead had nylock tiny nuts to screw into. The company I bought them through had plates which then spreads out the load and had nylock nuts attached to it. Now Aerocatch does the same. I also put a bead of calking between the hood and the locking mechanism so that no water got under it.

Yes sir

Also not sure of the pins you have work but the Aerocatch snap in when completely closed and lock the pin through the post, then when you release the latch it stays locked until it is completely up. The website has a video that has a better description of this.
