That's pretty cool, Joe. Thanks for sharing. What did you learn as you were building this engine? You've done a number of Ford engines already. What was different about this one? I hope you post another video once you have it running in your car.

I took Clevelad heads and modified them to fit the Windsor block (the modofication was basic and simple)
I used Cleveland pistons with stock length Scat rods and a stock 5.0 Crankshaft. I have a bout 2500 dollars in the build and it will make (I hope) 370 to 400 HP. There is nothing elaborate to the build and it will yield good HP for the money invested.
I ran the piston .050" thous out of cylinder bore and right up into the combustion chamber to get about 10 to 1 compression. I was worried about pist to cylinder head interferance but with a bevel placed on the piston top it gave room for the idea to work.
Now as for your question Warren, I learned that you can take a little knowledge and not spend alot of money to put a decent running engine tgether that has some cool factor.(it looks like a 69/70 BOSS engine) It should and will out perform the 5.0 that came in Fox platform Mustangs.
The thing I learned compared to other Ford Engines I have done is I did not have to buy or find very many aftermarket parts to build good power from a small block Ford engine.
This engine has been placed into an 86 Mustang notch back and will be weighed and run down the quarter mile. This will help me establish fairly accurate HP numbers by using online calculators with inputs of weight vs. MPH to find the HP.
Then I will know if I hit a good combination of parts with this engine or weather I wasted my time.

I only want the car as a test bed (wieght vs MPH gives me the ability to calculate HP)
Its very ugly.

Nice job. It doesn't take much to make a better engine than what came in the fox, they had weak heads for starters but then again it doesn't take much to make a decent motor either out of sbf. the motor look real nice
