Future new addition to my family...What to do about the Boss?

Well I had a surprise after work the other day...

My beautiful wife says we are pregnant!! LOL I have 2 boys, one is 7 next month and a 5 year old so this was a HUGE surprise. I have a 4 bedroom house (Thank God) and a 2,000 sqaure foot walkout basement that she wants to finish before the baby comes. So I think I have to sell my OTHER baby. I can't believe it because I wanted to have the car payed off by next year, my wife just went back to work fulltime, and everything was well planned

But things are about to change big time with the new one on the way...

What should I do?????????????? I feel completely overwhelmed and really don't want to sell my Boss as it is my dream car that i wanted to keep and give to my kids

So if I have to sell it because it IS completely impratical and I don't need it for work, what could I sell it for? I want to sell it complete with the blower installed. Or do i take the blower off and sell that by itself? How much does a KB 2.8 LC 8 rib set up sell for complete on the used market?

Andy

Don't know what the blower used market is, but it usually is better for you financially to piece it out. The car will be more attractive to a broader spectrum of customers vs. the one guy who wants a blown Boss. The blower can easily ( for the right price ) be sold to anyone with a 5.0.

Everything happens for a reason, Good luck

Congrats on the new addition first. If you do have to sell, I would leave it as is. But you never get mod money back. It would probably be easier to sell without the blower though. Just would be a shame to pull the blower. That thing is a beast. Hope you can keep it but you can always get another one used later on in life. Good luck either way and congrats again.

Congratulations on the new addition to your family. Sell your Boss and wait a couple of years. Then you'll be able to pick up a used GT500 really cheap and still have a blown Mustang.

For some reason I'm not seeing the boss holding it's value very long. I'm sure you can get back into one in a couple years for cheap.

Congratulations on the little one.

You said you wanted to keep the Boss to give to the kids, but you've got more kids than Boss's. You'd have to cut it into thirds to pass it down equally.

Just don't do anything rash. Sleep on it a while and maybe something will come along that will make it ok to keep.

congrats on the news and pics of the wife?? J/K I say keep the car even if it isn't practical. Don't buy a mini van instead.

Put the Blown Boss up for sale on Ebay with a reserve. You'd be surprised at how many people will go for it. Now whether you get enough for it to meet your needs/desires, that's another question. But you just might get surprised at what it sells for.

Congrats on the impending arrival. I would trade my Boss for another kid (but not currently accepting offers.)
Is the Boss your DD? If not maybe sell the other car & keep the Boss. Can you shoehorn 3 car seats in the back?

I heard the owner's kit has a pack of "THE BOSS" branded condoms to prevent tough situations like these, that might threaten Boss ownership.

Naw, I'm just playing. Mazel Tov and congratulations to you, pal! You'll sort it out. At the end of the day, it's just a car. Until most of us have one foot in the grave, it will be a depreciating asset. If you have to sell, you might be able to find a nice one later, when the timing is better. Or, something else even better will be around. Congrats again on the new bundle!

Jimmy

Congrats on your new addition to your family bro

Cars are def replaceable, considering how the muscle wars are going I just see all Mustangs getting better an better. So you will be back in the saddle once you have your family taken care of.

It's a tough call, I'm assuming you didn't pay for the SC right? It was a sponsor? I would prob put it back to stock and you would be able to get the maximum on all your mods. Good luck with everything man!

Sounds like you have emotional and financial equity in the Boss. Keep it. You'll need a few hours with it now and then for sanity. Wrap your kids into the thrill of owning such a machine. Drive it safely. . .

LOL^^^ My daily driver is a Demo (2012 Sonata LTD 2.0T) and my wifes DD is a 2010 Camry SE V6 with Tein S Techs and 17x9 Rota DPT's and TRD rear sway bar LOL

My oldest will be almost 8 when he/she arrives so no car seat, and my youngest will be 6 so just a booster for him...
so they all fit just fine in the Sonata and the Camry albeit it might be snug!!

Congrats!
If there is no real need to sell it, other then impracticality, I'm sure you have a daily driver vehicle, then why sell it???
On the other hand if it is Boss 302, or mortgage, etc.... Well......

Don't do anything rash and ride the storm out, you will regret it later if you can't get one back.
