Front Squeak Questions to Customer S or anybody who has had it...

I took my car in for the infamous front end squeak issue and they did the TSB replacement. I have questions for Customer Service or any of you that had the “squeak.”

A control arm replacement did not get rid of the squeak, so it has to go back. Did anybody else have a squeak other than the control arm that was fixed? I swear one comes from the shock tower.

I am wondering if it is the shocks or the sway bar on the front end noise. I have it really bad on the passenger front, much louder than before the repair, a bit of noise on the drives side, and I still keep getting a very rare one out of the passenger rear.

Hi merc50,

I’m not a tech so I can’t answer your question. However, I can help you get this re-escalated. Since I already have most of your info, please PM me with your mileage and the best daytime number for you.

I don't think that needs to be done yet. The guys at the dealership are going to look at it again but they are puzzled by it. I was just hoping somebody else might have had a similar issue and that they could point me in a direction on what to look at.

Would re-escalating it get my dealer in any trouble or anything like that? Like I said, they are going to look at it again and they are also tracking my other issues (oil consumption).

No, merc50. This will help us work with you and your dealer to get this issue resolved.
