Ford issues TSB that states ANY mods on 5.0 VOIDS warranty!!! Ford BS at it's best..

There's never been a "straight from the engineer's mouth" answer, but the consensus is that Ford has several ways to detect a flash in the ECU, even after being put to stock and even driven for a while stock. Between looking at the adaptive tables (which just tells you its been recently reset) and apparently there's some protected memory that also contains data they can use to determine a recalibration was once in place.
VMP does fantastic tuning, Justin's definitely on the top of the short list of great tuners, but keep in mind that by modifying the drivetrain you will likely own the repair cost of any drivetrain issue down the road.
