First time stang owner intro + quick question

Hi all,

I just jump started the mustang owning part of my life with a red 2012 302 Boss. I have owned her just a few days and very excited so far. I’ve had nothing that comes close to this machine except perhaps a 1990 911 C2. But the boss would have that for breakfast. Anyway, I do have a question. My boss is lowered with a BMR spring kit, and it is just too low for the road leading up to my house. It has speed bumps and it is almost impossible not touch the ground all the time the way she sits now.

In short, I would like to go back to the OEM setup. It looks like the springs are the only thing that is replaced, i.e. the struts and rear shocks seem stock.

Looking at typical oem part websites I am unable to identify what springs that, would have been stock on this car. The parts sites seem to have several options for.the oem springs.

Can anyome tell me p/n’s for the front + rear oem springs?

I'll say welcome from another Boss owner and these cars are a hoot to drive. I'm unfortunately no help in your question but please post some pics of your Boss.

welcome and pics are great. Also this might be a dumb question but did you try going over them on a slight angle sometimes that helps.

There are several ones listed. Technically all will 'fit', but the proper spring rates is going to be particular to the Boss 302 and even still the Boss 302 LS. So do the research, but there they all are. I'd say maybe visit a Ford dealership parts department and inquire. 50ish bucks each seems rather reasonable, actually.

Welcome to the forums! Hope that helps, good luck!

HouTex has shared what you need if you wish to take it back to stock.

You probably already do this but... Having Roush GT that is setup with a lowered suspension I have to hit the speed bumps slowly at an angle so that only one wheel hits the bump at a time. This helps keep the car from bottoming out. This is of course unless the speed bumps are huge and raising the car back to OEM stock levels is probably your only choice. Good luck with your project.
