Ok.. the fascia is obviously pretty much the same on the 13 as the shelby GT500.... Now this is not really a question of "opinion" as my opinion says it will interchange.... But I need to know 110% sure before I shell out the money to do the change... This part of my project plan for my customized BOSS.

Question.

Will the BOSS 302 both Upper and Lower Grill interchange with that of a 12 Gt 500 Shelby or 13 Shelby?

13 yes 12 no. the corners of the 12 and 13 are different. there is a thread somewhere with very detailed close up pictures of this.

Let me clear this up for you...

1. The 13 Boss grille will not fit in the 10-13 Shelby GT500 grille opening because the lower corners and perimeter are not the same shape.

2. The 13 Shelby GT500 front fascia is the same as the 10-12 models with just new upper and lower grille inserts allowing for an unobstructed wide open center section.

3. The only 2013 grilles that interchange with each other are the ones between the standard V6, Pony Package, GT, GT/CS, MCA edition and Boss 302. That is because they all use the same newly styled bumper fascia.

 

Yea I have been looking at the photos.. Close...
So if it cant be made to fit I will only have 2 choices if I modify it.
replace the boss grill with V6, Pony Package, GT, GT/CS, MCA edition
OR
replace the fascia entirely.
Is that basically what you are saying here?

Thanks...but yea I can see where the corners will cause trouble...and I do not thing the form in the grille area is the same as the boss either.. IE, the shelby looks to have slight more degree in curve on the contour.
One other thing your photos do not show... The shelby grill extends further outward on the fascia around the grill edges.... which actually gives it a different look from the boss...ill see if I can find a photo...

I think even though it looks different on the edges, I think its the grill giving it that look. I think the opening in the fascia is the same or almost the same. Look at this photo. You can see the shelby grill is not completely recessed inside the opening... or it is not as recessed as the BOSS grill....or at least by appearance.. I think even if the shelby grill does not fit perfectly, I think it can be trimmed down on the edges for a custom fit and will still look right.
Someone do this so we will know for sure!

 

My conclusion is the naked eye looking at photos is not enough...
We need physical proof (by actually doing and not photos) one way or another that it can't be done.
