Factory widebands and knock sensors on the Boss 5.0?
I have read that the new GT500s come with factory wideband and knock sensors for easy after-market tuning. Is that true with the 5.0 motor on the Boss as well?
That would make remote tuning so much easier. Right now, unless you install a wideband on your car, you have to take it to a dyno shop, run it, email the datalog, get updates, go back, re-dyno. If the new motors have the sensors from the factory you could just load the tune, run a datalog, fire it off, have it modified (if necessary) and just reload the modified tune and repeat as necessary.
(That is of course if someone would run an after-market tune on the Boss. Until we know more about TracKey this is just speculation)
Oh and pardon my use of "Boss 5.0" in the title.....I had the 5.0 GT on my mind when typing it as there might be some GT guys that know the answer.
