engine hesitation

I am wondering if this is normal and if anyone else has noticed the slight hesitation between 2500-2800 rpm. Once at 3k rpm the car feels fine. If I hold the throttle at about 2800 rpm I can feel this hesitation more constant. It is almost like engine braking is happening even though I haven't let off on the gas.

Commonly referred to as "trailer-hitching" in the tuner world, and yes, mine does it too. Frankly, I don't think Ford got the tuning 100% right for *perfect* driveability... a very small price to pay for the overall performance we did get! Don't worry, it's "normal".

I've felt the same when going full out from a stop. Glad I ain't the only one. Noticed you're from Raleigh--I'm in Orange County--seen any other Bosses around the Triangle? I haven't. Cheers on your color choice.

I have the same issue with mine. It is most noticeable when the engine is cold and the AC is on.

it's the AC, mine does that and i have to run AC all the time in the summer, the car feels like it misses each time the AC comp cycles, turn off the AC and it goes away.

That is good to know. I was about to take it in to have it checked. It will be nice to compare it when trackey is available.

Likewise on your color and how appropriate it is to have the color to match your county. No, I have not seen any Boss's around here. I guess they are garage kept.

Not too far away from you other N.C. guys. I'm just outside of Greensboro.

A daily driver it is and I wouldn't have it any other way. I do have a Ford Fusion which I take on trips, shopping malls, etc. The Ms. drives that one.
