Driveline shunt?

Pulled my car out of storage a couple of weeks ago, and of course the lovely weather we were having conspired to keep my driving to a minimum. But in the few miles I've put on, I've noticed some driveline shunt. At first I though it might be the engine breaking, and lack of seat time as I picked the car up using the red key. But sure enough switching to the black key and driving it to work one day and shifting, acceleration and deceleration are all, well, clunky. I've started to worry if my car was assembled correctly, as I had the LCA clunk issue, plus my right side fender and shock tower bolts were all loose when initially deliver to dealer. Love my car, but wondering if there may be some loose inaccessible parts. Certainly costs into my confidence heading into track season. Anyone else noticing some shunt?

I haven't noticed any. Got a close-up photo of how you painted your front valance?

It was 3m vinyl. I also tried a thinner partial stripe, which i will shoot. Think I'm going to return to the thicker stripe when i take it in for paint and Boss 303s grill install later this month.

I have it too. With the car on stands or a lift, put the trans in neutral with the handbrake on and see how much you can rotate the driveshaft.

Is there a way to adjust the slop out of the driveline?

Not sure if you've seen it but here's my Boss with a white Cobra Jet grille.

Check the bushing in the mount on top of the axle pumpkin. They will loosen up/fail when driven extremely hard. Usually very noticeable clunk when getting on and off the throttle at any speed.

I noticed this Clunk today on my way into work..Does anyonehave a picture of the bushing I should look at? It happens if I let off the gas then get on it again quick.

It is on the top of the rear diff. It is what the rear upper control arm is bolted through.

If you're tracking the car hard, you may want to switch to spherical rod end on the control arm and a spherical bearing that eliminates the bushing altogether where it connects to the diff. Here's what I have on mine:

On moderate acceleration does it feel similar to light bunking, as if you let out the clutch at really low RPM's?

I got the UCA and bearing from Steeda. All the rest of the suspension is FRPP from the 302S program. They couldn't use an adjustable UCA on the 302S due to some classing restrictions, so they sourced a modified stock one from Multimatic. Since I'm not running in Grand Am there was no reason for me to spend more money and not have adustability

Keep in mind that if you go this route you will increase NVH if that's a concern.

How bad will the NVH increase? Is this mainly due to the rear seat delete.

Pretty hard to give you an accurate description. The rear ends on the Boss are already noisy and yes if you delete the rear seat that increases NVH some, although my rear seat delete kit dampens it almost as much as the seats did. It's not anywhere near as noisy as my GT500 with the torque arm and Watts link. I pretty much always have my windows down and stereo on so I don't actually hear anything from the car except the exhaust. Even with the radio off and windows down you only hear an occasional clunk going over bumps at low speeds. Windows up and no radio and you can hear it, but it's not intolerable by any stretch.
