I have a '13 boss and have a friend that has a zl-1 camaro. He is always talking about how much dwnforce his car generates at speed. It is alot!! I know the bosses are set up similar with the hood vents, belly pan, and stuff, but does anyone know the advertised amount of dwnforce produced by these cars at say 100 mph?? Id just like to shut him up by saying yeah well mine makes xxx dwnforce at this speed!?!?!

 

I doubt either actually make downforce, maybe 0 lift or a minor amount of downforce...the Laguna Seca will make downforce with the front splitter on

 

Right. Measuring ground effects goes way beyond seat of the pants.

I don't remember seeing any specs listed.

 

Motor Trend 11/2010 reported the 2012 Boss LS had 90 lbs. of downforce at 140 mph from the combination of the rear spoiler and massive front splitter. I have not seen numbers that I can remember for the base Boss or the 2013.

 

Very interesting because he is so sure of it. I know people get some piece of info from some webpage archive somewhere and just run with it. Hence my reason for asking the experts here at tms. I dont want to just puke some figure out and not be informed on the issue beforehand. Thanks for the replys guys!
