Yes, I did order the book at Carlisle. It was sent via the post office using media mail. You ordered one too, didn't you? It might take a few more days to get to Canada though.

I just finished reading the book, and I must say it was an excellent read!

It also answers a few questions about the car that I've seen posted in the forums, such as gear whine and suspension setup.

The gear whine that may be more noticable in our cars might be attributed to the removal of some of the sound deadening. The engineers heard alot of gear whine in one of their test mules that had the sound deadening removed.

The engineers also spent a significant amount of time on the suspension. It's apparent they didn't just slap suspension parts together. According to the book, they dialed this car in so well that when they tried to lower the car just 7mm in the back, 'the car didn't turn as well'

Pretty intersting stuff.
I like the fact that this car is purpose built.
The engineers at Ford put their heart and soul into this car. And I think that's what makes this car so unique and special.

Go Ford! I can't wait to have time to read it! Maybe on the plane to Utah in October

I got my book the other day and I love it, I'm glad it is not a rehash of Donald Farr's first book.

Also gives a peak ahead to what's coming...

Pg 109...Computer Variable Damping for the suspension

Pg 113...Electronically Adjustable Sound Tube (IST) Adjust sound inside car from (1-11 Range)

Also a big maybe on Pg 102...Fingers crossed
'One concept incorporated satin paint. which Farley loved. "It would be for the owners who want to flip people off.", Farley comments.'

And funny how Project 747 came out ahead of calling it the Roadrunner...Meep Meep!
