Dealer eBay Games on Boss 302
Dealer eBay Games on Boss 302
In an attempt to assist another family member In the past two days I have had two conversations with two different dealers who have a Boss 302 LS listed on eBay. As almost as if it was scripted both stated that they had no interest in selling on eBay. They stated that eBay was just a tool to get phone calls so they could negotiate the highest possible selling price. The reserves were set at such levels that the bids that did not meet the reserve were used to support their negotiations with the potential buyers who called them. I won't go into their many other unsupported claims about the value of the street Boss and the LS... I just listened and thanked them for their time.
This post is not meant to take a blanket shot at dealers. If you are like me you had know idea of this practice and that is the reason for my post. I know that most dealers are not like the ones I talked to. If they were there would be hundreds of LS listings and thousands of street Boss listings on eBay. I know there are many fine dealer members on this forum and I respect and value their support for the forum.

Those are experienced dealers with respect to the benefits of using and abusing eBay.
Being the Boss production early stages naturally there is no doubt they are in command and will likely have the upper hand on LS sales for a while. It will be another story for the standard Boss.

Car dealers are not the only uses to use this tactic. I've been saving all the "sold" Boss cars from ebay auctions and I think I only have 3-4 of the dozens that have been listed. Most are sold offline.

I'll wait a few more weeks for mine to come in at sticker.
