DBA 4000 rotors, $105 closeout
got a set of 5000's for the front and 4000's for the rears.
funny that on the 5000's one side was still in stock (said there were 2 left) and the other side was out of stock but you can still order them for the same price....so the funny part is: how do they end up with an unequal number?

He called me and said the ones that were in stock should ship and be here within 10 days but he didn't say the others were unavailable, just they have to check...we'll see. I saw it said just one side was in stock of the 5000 and the other was special order so we'll see how this works out. Fingers crossed. Also, hopefully just the disc design changes for 5000 so that the hat is still compatible.
The special order won't happen. I went through every possible scenario with Bart, including buying two left front rotors and then just picking up a ring for a right front. When he checked a couple of hours ago all the left fronts were now gone too.
When I commented about the website he stated that it wasn't updated. I then inquired about changing my order to the 4000 and he replied that they were all gone too.
My understanding is that the old hat will work with the new "T" series ring...

EDIT: lady I talked to said they were on order from the manufacturer but no ETA at the moment...not too promising
EDIT 2: got 2 emails from tire rack saying the rotors I have requested have been ordered and should see them before christmas and also that yes they are being discontinued by dba. Guess ill wait and see!

Glad some of you got some rotors before they were gone.
How do smbstyle and I apply for our sales commision or future discount from Tire Rack?
For those still looking, the other extreme for rotors is Raybestos from CJ Pony, 20% off for $51.80 shipped thru 22 Dec. Power Slot on sale too, but web doesn't show Brembo fronts. Rears are $74.12. I sent an email to Carbotech the other day about rotor recommendations. They said Raybestos are actually a good quality basic rotor. He said high end rotors generally have better cooling vanes and may be made out of longer lasting steel, but we won't stop faster with them.

Hey, I started this thread, and mine aren't here yet.
Just kidding. That's what I get for living in the Dakota territory. Tracking says the pony express should be here Wednesday.
Now that I've got slotted for the fronts, I need to buy some Power Slots from CJ Pony for the back while they're on sale thru 22 Dec.

I wondered about how much the replacement rings might be. Can you reuse the fasteners or does DBA recommend using new ones when changing the rings?
I ordered a set of the DBA5000 series rotors too. Thanks for the heads up SD GT.
On Edit...are these made in Australia or here in the US?

Glad to hear the new style works with the old hats.

Thanks to Gary's Top Brakes source, I just check for DBA 4000, and they are closeout $279 for front set, free shipping.
Still a good deal.
Assumtion is a '12 GT500 has Brembo since Boss wasn't a vehicle choice.

They have the DBA 5000 rings on closeout for $379, but since they're coming out with a new rotor design, I can't decide if I should pick these up at a bargain or wait for the new design. Anyone know what's new/better? Since I have a brand new set of 5000s I just put on the hats, if I ordered these I might not even need them until spring 2013.
Don't know Gary but if they have been working for you in the past, why not save a few bucks?
