Cooltech Harness Clips

Has anyone purchased and installed the Cooltech Harness Clips?

http://www.cooltechllc.com/Boss/Boss_ClipSet2Seat.shtml

Could you take a picture of them installed and post it.

Thanks

Phil

Just installed mine tonight. First pic is of the outside with the seat in the driving position. The second and third are pics with the seat folded forward. Not sure if these are the pics you are looking for as the plastic is covering up the bracket. I think in the directions it tells you to discard the plastic trim. I installed it back on instead. Just need a little more pressure to install it. Excellent fit and finish.

Clip the sub belts onto the same clips as the lap belts and lay the sub belt onto the seat bottom with in a V formation with the top of the V toward the front edge of the seat. Sit down and pull the V up between your legs. This 6-pt system is a constant reminder to not crash and test the system.... as the "boys" ain't gonna be happy!

Can you show a picture of the sub belt layout? I have a 6 point set and am trying to layout where to anchor them.

So is this what you mean? It does help hold the lap belt down but the 'boys" will definantly not like it if you have to use the belts!

Great Pictures

Thanks for posting the pictures. Just what I was looking for, for a start, now more questions.

Does the Harness clip go on to the seat attachment stud above or below the seat rail?

I like to see pictures of both the sub belt and harness belt in the harness clip?

Thanks Again

Phil

Just a suggestion, when you finally clip the belts to the brackets it would be a good idea to put a cotter pin through the little hole on the snap hook. This is done to prevent any accidental opening of the snap latch. I don't know why Crow does not mention this as this is standard practice in the aircraft industry.

Yes, John, your picture is correct. Once the belt is placed like this, you sit in the seat and bring the V up between your legs. and clip it in. It will help the lap belt to not ride too high but the main purpose is to eliminate "sbmarining" in the event of a severe accident.

Harness setup and clip systems look great.

Are you mounting the shoulder belts to those clips as well, or eyebolts, or rollbar?

Hi 06GT,

The shoulder belts are mounted to the roll bar, the lap and anti-sub belts mount to the cooltechllc.com custom floor brackets on the seat track.

The clip goes above the seat rail as seen in the picture. You remove the stud and install a supplied bolt instead. The picture is of the drivers side inner belts. I kept the lap belt on the outside of the sub belt.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

Thanks

A picture is worth a thousand words.

Plus no one else mentioned the supplied bolt.

Yes. No need to modify the seat.
