Carroll Shelby
I met him back in 2007 at VIR in a crammed room that almost didn't happen due to time constraints. I will never forget him saying after I told him that I was buying the 2008 mustang Bullitt. "It ain't got enough horsepower" and that I purchase a book about him. SHELBY The Man. The Cars. The Legend. and he said "How much did you pay for it" I said $20.00 and He said "It ain't worth it"
What a true gentleman! He will be missed....
Unarguably the most important automotive American icon ever! His passion for cars and racing was the inspiration for the muscle car era and for millions of car enthusiast like myself. I never had the opportunity to meet the man, but those who have say it was like meeting a living legend. He leaves us as just that... A Legend
Painful to lose a man who meant so much to so many. He lives on in the automotive products that bear his name ( and a few others ), and his charitable organization. It might be appropriate to show the sincerity of our regard by making a significant donation to the Carroll Shelby Foundation.
They are airing a miniseries about the legend
