Car threw a P2240 error code?

So coming back form picking up the kids the car threw a P2240 error code. the explanation i find online is P2240 O2 Sensor Positive Current Control Circuit/Open. I cant find any other detail? anyone have more details? is the car safe to drive?

edit: reset the warning and drove 5 mi or so and it didn't come back. I was doing my normal heel toe practice thing when it came on and had missed one. my foot slipped off the brake, i hate it when that happens.

So i wonder can the heel/toe be done successfully with a very small foot :-) do you need to be a big guy to have this technique be useful on the track?

nah it depends on how you do it. i started out using the side of my foot rather than the heel and the pedals are a bit too far apart for that to work. i ordered some new racing pedals to fix the issue from SRP.

Hmm, side of foot works fine for me in this car, YMMV. And back to on topic, you missing your heel toe downshift would have nothing to do with the check engine light. Could be a fluke, bad O2 sensor, and a number of other things. You said the code cleared after a reset? Is the car stock?

You can buy 'racing' shoes with a wider sole to help reach over to the gas pedal. One of the instructors at the Boss Track Attack was wearing such a shoe.
