Only power mods I see are cai and tune. The results make sense to me. Was the boss on dr too? It appeared to be. I thought the consensus was that the cai didn't particularly matter on 5.0s it was more the tune. Is that correct.

If we're just talking raw HP, there's no reason a motivated drag racer can't make an '11 beat a stock Boss. Big whoop - doesn't make it a Boss at a car show or on a track. The forged pistons and lightweight valvetrain of the Boss will still win after each is modded to the max.
Yeah, why are people overlooking this major modification?

From a power stand point they probably increased torque by about 9-10% +/- , you can get a an idea of how much road force this generates IIRC by multiplying torque x trans ratio x final drive / OD radius of rear tire. You can also figure out what sort of HP is at work there by taking the final road force number and pluging it into the standard HP formula.
Besides offering greater traction while accelerating , a taller tire also reduces torque because your applying force from the wrong end of the lever.
But you have to factor this in which may or may not be as big an issue depending on what technique (ie speed/power shifting) the driver uses and how fast the driver can shift as Cusp mentioned.
