Back from the AutoX, sooo much fun :)

Well spent the day in Bossier City AutoXing the Boss 302. It was a lot of fun. I have some video of the laps. i spun the car once with too much speed into the last corner. Took a few months off the life of the factory tires over the day. i had so much fun. The first hear I ran the shocks at 5 all around and forgot to turn off traction control or put it into sport mode. the brakes didn't want to stop and ti dawned on me afterwards that traction control was probably going nuts trying to keep up with all the sliding and slipping i was doing and the brakes were fading a bit from that. i also launched the car in second all day to prevent shifting during the run.

For the second heat i put it in sport mode once and turned off TC and stability control fro the last lap, Zero brake fade with those laps and I was on the brakes hard being a noob. first autox in 11 years and the first time to drive the boss hard. Ended up with second in novice and considering my first heat i had only one clean run (went the wrong way on lap one and spun on lap 2) i was happy. the timing system went down on the second heat so we just did fun runs and they felt much faster. i also turned the fronts form 5 to 3 and the car turned much better, the fronts pushed badly on 5.

Looks like fun. Just curious, since you didn't have to shift did you brake with your left foot?

You get used to using the left foot from karting. If there is an indoor kart track close by go check it out. I have no idea if that would work for autox but if you don't have to shift it might.

Not sure what it is on this forum, but there should be a tag ([ ]) to use to embed the videos vs posting links. On some sites it's [youtube] or [video], etc...

I don't believe you can post them like that on this site.

Looks like a blast man. I need to try it out one day. That's a lot better looking course than many that I've seen.

This without the spaces.

What are you doing out driving the Boss like that, it should be in a garage under plastic where no one will ever see it for history sake!

(lots of fun, though)

Lol that was my only spin of the day. And the second or third lap in the car. I want the only spin there either.

Great stuff Shane! Selling #1 was the right choice, I can certainly see why you'd be uncomfortable driving it.

The spin out was actually pretty sweet. If you were to have somehow saved it and held on for a drift, you'd be hoon of the day!
