boss stuck in IL at bankrupt carrier
So our boss has been stuck in Illinois at a carrier that went bankrupt for a few days now. It was supposed to arrive the 16th here in central iowa. I guess this carrier is no longer hauling for Ford. How are we supposed to get our car???
Jeeeeez. Honestly I would be going to get it myself and telling the dealership to chop a few bucks off. The anticipation must be driving you nuts

Grew up just north of Davenport. Lived in Ames for 6 years. Have hunted and camped all over the state.
I remember recently reading a story about Chrysler and GM vehicles being held up at a storage facility of a company who's contract had stopped. I don't know how it turned out. I think the title of the article mentioned the cars were being held for 'ransom', if you want to try and search for it.
I too, would think that the individual handling the bankruptcy would see releasing the cars would generate revenue that could eventually be distributed to creditors.
This reminds me me of stories of dealerships that closed with customer owned cars still in the service bays, or trade-ins that the dealership hadn't paid off the loan leaving the original owner with two outstanding loans instead of one.
