Boss Laguna Seca Availble In MD

Hey guys,

I dont know if I'm posting in the right area either (moderator move appropriately?). My name is Tom Snyder. I sold a customer off of here a Boss 302 Competition Orange. I now have a Laguna Seca available. Other dealers have offered to buy it from us for 65k so they can resell it. My GM won't accept their offers. My GM will sell a regular boss 302 for MSRP, but not this one. If anyone would like to make an offer please email me at tom.Snyder@koonsauto.com. He claims he'll sell it for 68.5, but, he see's all emails that come through that address so OFFER WHATEVER YOU WANT...

Tom-

Welcome to the Boss party but believe you and your manager may need a reality check. I do not believe you will get many takers from this Forum if you are trying to inflate the MSRP by $20,000 for an LS Boss.

I purchased my 1Q LS for UNDER MSRP and just recently (within the last 2 weeks) found another LS for MSRP for a friend. In locating this UX color Boss, I talked to 39 dealerships which had a unit on property or had a VIN in production for this specific color car. I did not bother calling Galpin for obvious reasons.

Most if not all are still trying (the operative word) to get an ADM. 90% of the dealers are asking for an ADM less than $20K, so your dealership is looking for that preverbal needle-in-the-haystack buyer. And again this was looking for an Ingot Silver LS on which the color take-rate is 10%. It is much much easier to locate a black LS. Basic economics of supply and demand with supply of black Bosses much higher.

As we approach the anticipated announcement from Ford that the Boss model will in fact be continued into MY2013 and with the economy in a precariously teetering condition, IMO perspective buyers will be able to easily get a 2012 LS Boss for under MSRP or wait to order a 2013 model which may have something different to offer.

I wish you luck. Let us know how you eventually sell your unit.
