Most likely, which is a good thing. Otherwise, you'd be paying the gas guzzler tax. I'll gladly take the skip shift and save myself $1500 in GGT. Bypassing the skip shift is an easy and cheap fix. At least it was on my 2010 Challenger.

I don't think there is any. This new engine with manual even without skip shift should easily bypass the gas guzzler. I don't foresee the Boss will suffer any similar fate. It they can avoid GG with a GT500 I don't think the Boss is in any danger.

Right but the GT500 has skip-shift...

Correct but I just don't see it happening. I could be wrong and we can all point fingers when the truth comes out but I just don't see it happening. The 6 spd alone helps. I can see them getting 23 highway at least. If not, I suppose I will eat my words.

I don't think it has Skip-Shift. I've never heard of that. But I don't know for sure.

Skip shift, who cares? Press the pedal down farther or buy the $10 inline-harness to defeat it.

gt500 doesn't have it and still avoids the guzzler tax for 2011. i think they said for the new 5.0 GTs the skip shift was not to avoid guzzler tax (it would have avoided that anyway) it was to get the MPG up for cafe and marketing reasons.
