Boss Air Conditioning Not Cold Enough,...
Hi,
My 2012 Boss with only 6000 miles on it is blowing 'cool air' but not 'cold air' with th A/C on.
Has anyone had the same problem?
It's pretty early in this car's life to be adding a can of refrigerant, but that's my next step,... unless someone has a better solution.
Cheers,

Cheers,
I've owned 2 new cars that were low from day one. Added refrigerant and all is fine years later.. You ARE using the 'recirc' setting when its really hot out aren't you? My father in law never knew about this setting since 08 with his GT. Since I told him about it he is happy

My GT is not very cold when it's very warm out. It was in the 90's and humid all last week and I was comfortable but not very cold. Took a while to cool down too. If the sun was behind clouds it seemed better. On 80º days and less humidity it works better. Cold, but not freezing as i've had in other cars.

I recommend you get them checked out at your dealer and speaking to your Service Manager about this. He/She is in the best position to look into this for you. He/she can check into any warranty, assistance, recalls, or Customer Satisfaction Programs that may apply to your vehicle. Let me know the outcome.

Hmmm.... appreciate this post as have been having the same issue with mine at around 16K. My other cars freeze me out and though eventually it gets cool, it takes an inordinate amount of time. Good to know others have noticed this - thanks!

Good to know I'm not the only one. This week's been pretty hot here in SoCal, although I remember last summer when I just bought the car, the a/c felt cooler.
The window tint does help blocking the heat from direct sunlight, but now I know generally the Mustangs do get warmer than other cars in the cabin.
After all, we are driving American Muscle aren't we?

Also in SoCal here, and I think my A/C is working okay. But my understanding is that the compressor doesn't run when on the throttle or past a certain amount of throttle. So I know if I do a bunch of stoplight to stoplight WOT runs, then I expect the car to get warm inside...

I spoke to my Technical Specialist and as Grant 302 mentioned, he advised there are quite a few things that will make the compressor cut off. Some are normal characteristics to make sure it does not burn out and some that could be concerns. I recommend you bring it to your Ford dealers and have them check it out to make sure all is good. Please let me know the outcome.

So far, so good for me, my '13 blows ice cold. I've been lucky with Ford AC so far, my 2010 Fusion is frosty, and my '04 Super Duty diesel and '05 Escape have never been touched, each has over 130k miles on them!
Well, problem solved. Problem was low refrigerant. Topped it off and she's blowing cold again. They put dye in the system to find the leak but after a day of searching there wasn't one. Can't explain where it went but if it leaks at least they will be able to find it. So now I can enjoy hot summer days in comfort while traveling.
