Boss 503 is home - Scotchguard on Recaro seats
Hey all just got my new 2013 GB Boss Wednesday night, Boss number 503. Car is awesome, better then I ever imagined. I only was able to put 40 miles on it, before it went in the garage, but it is awesome. It has been raining non-stop in South Florida, and I don't really want to drive it in the rain, if I don't have to. It is not going to be a "garage queen or king" (not quite sure why people consider cars female, but I'm pretty sure my Boss is a male
, like my truck)
I cannot see driving this car and not getting pulled over. It begs to be ticketed, and it is nearly impossible to go the speed limit. It is way more powerful then I imagined, and it is hard to keep your foot off of the gas. The engine sounds awesome and that is without pulling out the exhaust plates. I'm sure I will get suckass mileage as it is impossible not to keep your foot on the gas, just to hear the engine as it revs and you row through the gears. Give me a good old manual transmission any day of the week, you can have the paddle shifted cars. Simply awesome.
My question is do people still use scotchguard on the seats and carpeting? I have always done this first thing on my previous cars and trucks (well not the seats I always get leather), but I have heard that the stuff may be toxic. Opinions?
Also, my horn/airbag has a visible line in the plastic on the top half of the horn, probably where the airbag deploys from, is this normal? The line goes from the middle of the horn to the top, I have already notified Ford in case this is an issue. Will get pics this weekend.
I waited a long long time for this car (I had originally ordered a 2012 which I canceled), and for everyone who is waiting, the car is certainly worth the wait. By the way, HIDs are very very bright.

Congrats, know exactly what you mean about not being able to stay off the gas. I'm sure I will be getting tickets when I get back in the states. Didn't put any Scotch Guard on my seats, but I have very strict rules about what is allowed inside too.
Thanks, I thought that may be the case with the horn....Cool plate by the way. I spend lots of time in Toronto and the burbs, have family up there. I love it.
They are our hearts desire. Their curves and purrs just suck us right in. To get what you want from them you must constantly pay attention to them and tell them how much you love them by spending time with them and throwing money at them.
Why female? Really, you must never have spent any time thinking about it then, it is SO Obvious.

All my machines are men. They are my buddy and we depend on each other and have each other's back here on the ranch and out on the road. Don't want no finicky female machine effin' things up!!

Yes to the airbag seam. Not a flaw - they all have em if you look at pics.
Congrats on your new Boss! I've had mine a week & a half... Yes, I'm on the throttle a lot, and I tend to hold a lower gear around town just to hear the engine's glorious note... And I'm in turn rewarded with the gas mileage of an SUV (a big one) but even bigger smiles....
The car is wicked. No doubt. And it calls on its driver to be just as wicked. Dance with the devil and the devil don't change-- the devil changes you.
Took the exhaust restictor plates out and wow.... sounds as menacing as it looks and, in fact, is.

Rain-X and Scotch Guard are the first two things I do to a new car, always woked well for ma and never had any damage.
