Boss 302J a work in progress

All his mods are to make the car more like the race car, and to increase performance. Why would you start with a lower performance base car and have to upgrade the power train and suspension as well?

I am old, 67, and I get it! Life is short, enjoy it. This will be "your" car, and that is an important part of ownership. I am waiting on the pics.
When I retired in 2007, I bought a 2007 GT/CS three days before. When I showed up at work, a co-worker looked at it, shook his head and asked if I was ever going to grow up...I said yes, when they close the lid. What other people think really has no bearing. All that matters, in the end, is what makes you happy.
Beautiful car..best of luck with it.

Posts like this crack me up. This is my first Mustang but having a million and one options to personalize them is one of the things that makes them special. Like Cloud9 stated Jason is making his car look like the CURRENT race cars. Just like guys did when they bought 1969 and 1970 Boss 302's. And just like the 1969/1970 Boss 302's what makes this car special is what's under the hood. The engine in the 2012/2013 cars is the same engine used in the 302R and 302S race cars. If people covet the new Boss 302's decades from now it will be because of the engine and not because of the stock spoiler and hood.

For me it's both. The fact that ford brought back the 5.0 & that the car can get around the track stock is great! I just want it look like the Boss 302s. Mustangs are all about modding. Ford was the first car manufacturer to offer options on a car and if I remember correctly, it started on the mustang.

Well if you hadn't used the word "destroy"...

I might've missed it in the thread (or somewhere else) but do you plan on tracking it then or will this be more of a show car?

Please post or PM me what day and time that this will take place. I live in Jersey and would like nothing better to see your work that you put into your Boss and watch you run it.
Cant wait to see it!
