Thanks man. This car is a joy to drive!!.

As everyone that knows me on these forums is aware.... I was not overly fond of my Red Candy stang. I actually washed it 3 times in 6 months of owning it (bought used with 8k miles on it in Jan. 2011). I just finished washing the Boss for the 3rd time since I picked it up which was Wednesday!!

have a few ideas for things that I want to mod.

1.) Clear 3M bra for front end and mirrors (getting installed Monday 7/18)
2.) Window tint (getting installed Monday 7/18)
3.) I hate the rear spoiler and want to put the pedestal spoiler on it
4.) Either adding fog lights to lower fascia or adding Factory HIDs (I have some take-offs), wiring harness from Ford is $300. just not enough light output at night time.
5.) Needs some sort of decal on back to designate it as a Boss 302
6.) Rear-view mirror or possibly visor with Home-link. I hate remotes hanging from visor or stuck in center console.

Those are just my immediate mods / thoughts I am kicking around

Sounds good... relatively minor stuff just to fine tune it to what you like.

I figure the "red" key will take care of the tuning that would get done

I have a busy week too. Clear bra goes on Wednesday, window tinting goes on Saturday, a white LS wing goes on Sunday. Not going to do 4, member LQQK is working on 5 and might do 6 since there's no place to store my gate or garage remotes.

Glad to see I'm not the only one not liking the rear spoiler on this car. Did you buy a take-off? Buy new factory spoiler or going after-market?

I ordered a new OEM LS spoiler from CJPony. It's at the paint ship getting a fresh coat of High Performance White.

How much are they gonna charge for painting it?

what are you guys doing about the holes since the factory pedastle spoiler doenst match holes with the stock spoiler on these cars? One of the guys here did a black GT500 spoiler and it looked cool, that one uses the factory mounting holes. i am really digging that hood from the 302S, if it has some sort of system to keep water out of all those vents on it that will go on my mod list.

The OEM spoiler matches the four stock holes just fine. You need to drill four additional holes. The one you are referring to was not OEM. The GT500 also uses the stock holes and no additional holes are needed. I was originally going to install the GT500 spoiler in carbon fiber since it bolts on. I changed my mind when I learned the California Special spoiler and front valance were specifically desinged for the Boss project but the pieces were used on the CS to help spread the tooling costs. Ever notice how perfect the Boss splitter fits on that valance? BTW the LS spoiler does have more downforce than the GT500 but doubt you can tell the difference. Also notice how much larger the LS pedestal spoiler is compared to the ones used on the 05-09 body.

I really like the 302S hood but I'm waiting for others to do it before I do. I won't be driving mine in the rain so that's not a concern. The 302S hood decreases lift and effectively increases downforce. It might make a good match with the LS spoiler instead of the LS splitter. While we're discussing I was told to add a 1" spacer between the valance and the Boss splitter to effectively increase downforce similar to what the LS splitter offers. That way you won't mame small children and old ladies walking across the street.

Sorry for the thread hijack.
