My local dealer has one in and is asking 10k over. The salesman said they had an offer for 7k over and the sales manager wouldn't take it.

I'm sorry, but for a dealer to ask for anymore then regular retail is just wrong. They make enough $$ on all the other services. Any person that pays more then retail is just retarded. My .02

I'm actually ok with dealers adding ADM on cars ordered for inventory. Most of us were smart enough to lock in our cars before they hit the showrooms. It's called a market and prices will reflect what people are willing to pay. I wouldn't pay $4 a gallon for gas but I have been lately. The difference is we need gas and don't need a specific car. With that said I didn't want to pay over MSRP and canceled my first order after the dealer added a $5K ADM. I found another one at MSRP and I'm happy. The dealers add ADM because some people will pay it. Like it or not it's part of capitalism.

well from the looks of it on ebay they really are not getting much action on all these adm cars. I think if you pay any more than 2k over its not very smart and adds fuel to the fire....let them sit on them for awhile and they will change their tune. its not like they arent making profit on each or something

just my 2 cents

agreed, my dealer tried to scare me off at first too then two months later i bought the gt500 for almost invoice. Tried to tell me the svt pck was going to make these cars hard to find and then they sat there with no interest due to the econ. in my city.

I will wait if i cant find one till the adms start coming off, or next year for 13 and pre order

I'm with you, not paying an ADM, I will wait till 2013 as well if I have too.
I sat in that red car at Villa, no way paying 15K over invoice, or 10K, or even 5K. I honestly think that with the economy and gas prices, the ADM will come off quickly. Not to mention that there are a lot more choices out there, when it comes to mustangs in that price range. Lots of used 5.0's, GT500 Shelby's, Roush, Saleens. Plenty available. Also, the re-design of the Mustang in 2014!!
