Boss 302 in my garage!!!!!

It drives outstanding!
Power is great. Silky smooth.
I was expecting the ride to be firmer. It's actually pretty comfortable. The car is clearly stiff - chassis wise, but the ride is good. All shocks still set at 2. I guess I'll try the other settings soon.
Clutch is smooth and easy. Pedal feel is somewhat light really. Compared to my old Mustang anyway.
Why am I home? I picked it up at 4:30pm. Had some stuff to do, but I do have about 80 miles on it today. It had 13 something when I picked it up.
Number: 0144
A couple new pics from today below.
One observation - the floor mats feel really cheap. I'm a little disappointed in them. I havent pulled the cover out yet.
Something else that stuck out to me - the PCV closure tube from the intake manifold to the cam cover has a sticker on it (part number and other info) that is really poorly applied and just looks like crap. Bothers me. I'll get over it.
I did a lot of 3/4 throttle accellerations from like 2000 rpm on up to 3,4,5,6000. At the lower speeds the sound tube presence is a bit obtrusive to me. I might have to disconnect that thing. Not for me..
Overall though - I cant wait to go to work in the morning to get back in it!!
Cant wait to hear feedback from others. You're gonna love them!

Just pull the label from the tube. 2012yellowboss ordered the mats a month ago and wasn't pleased with them either. After that I canceled my mats/cover. I was a bit worried about the clutch feel. I sat in the LS that PJ signed and the clutch was VERY heavy. It was pre production and probably thrashed. The Z06 sitting next to the LS had a clutch like butter in comparison.
Enjoy your drive to work tomorrow and try some WOT!

Sorry to sidetrack from the excitement of the Boss, but I want to know more about the fox sitting next to it. 87-88 GT? Looks like its in great shape from what little I can see. Make a thread on it.
Oh, Boss looks great too. Probably be my first choice of color if I were looking for one.
