Some tuners will turn off catalyst over-temperature enrichment to achieve this. If the vehicle doesn't have an off-road X pipe you can end up with fried cats.

I think there are good tuners that will dial in a "safe" tune, but the real question still comes down to whether the gains are worth the expense and risk. It will be great when we start getting our cars and can see some dyno charts showing the torque and hp curves.

I have not heard of that. Can you point me to the info on that Tony?

That means it is a way better tune than stock and being Ford made it shouldn't hurt the car to use it.

Sorry.
I guess I misstated that.
What I meant was by "EPA certified" was that it was not considered in the CAFE mileage requirements.
I meant the tune will not get as good gas mileage, but as a track car it doesn't matter.
I still believe this is part of the reason for the TracKey or else all Boss 302s would have a race tune.
C'mon the Boss 302 and Boss 302 LS are really kinda race cars.
They should come tune like that without a special key.

I really like the idea, besides the "Wow" factor it will be nice to take an easy drive to the track with one key then change it.

I know it is not a drag car but I am interested in the 1/4 times between the two keys. Can't wait to try.

The words are printed on the air filter box

This intake set-up was first seen on the 2010 4.6L V8s and advertised by Ford as the factory configuration for ducting cooler air from the front grille into the flow path to the manifold.

A version of this was designed for the 2011 5.0L engine in the GT.

Oh cool. I hadn't seen that. If you go to the FRPP site, they have CAIs for the 05-09 Mustang GTs, but the 2010+ just include a ProCal tuner and a K&N high flow air filter. I wonder if we can just drop in a K&N high flow filter (or need to) with the TracKey tune?
