I want a Boss 302 so bad it hurts, but I will wait until Ford tones the "Graphics" down a little or I will buy a used one and get a proper paint job.

don't hold your breath...the 2012 has the 1969 livery and the 2013 has the livery...don't like the colors, well guess you won't be driving one!!!

Or you could remove all the stripes on the side and go from there

What could possibly make you think you will get a 2012/13 Boss at a "USED" price. This car is an instant collectible driver's car that will put my grandchildren through college. BTW, I plan on driving it hard.

So you're definitely NOT an investment banker.

No ride, just an admirer of what was accomplished in the 50's and early 60's. The CF-104 comes to mind.

Talk about mini-wings on a rocket! That F-104 must have had a 2 mile turn radius at 6 G's.

My bad. I forgot to include the CF-105. An airplane of a completely different sort...

Nope. Canadian designed and built. Program was cancelled just as the first full-spec 2nd generation a/c was completed. It was by far the most technologically advanced design for a long time.

After the program was cancelled a number of the engineers joined NASA to advance the space program.

Totally different bird than USAF version. AF F-105 had a single blower.

That's just plain sexy! A row of new Bosses with the keys in the doors. Just ready and waiting...

Some of McDonnell Douglas finest hardware. Lots of maintenance man hours per flight hour. VF-74, my second squadron was the first squadron to deploy with the F4's. That was before my time but not by much.

Quite a rush for us young aviators. While on Hot Pad Duty in Key West, used to ask for an "unrestricted takeoff", which was granted and could reach 450 KTS at the end of the runway before blowing the roofs off the trailers parked just outside the airfield boundary. Sadly, those days are gone. I do have great memories though.
