I have not seen much talk about supercharging on Boss cars here. Has anyone besides me looked into it?

If you want a supercharged Mustang, why not get one with a warranty and get a GT500? The Boss is pretty badass as is, no need to ruin it with too much HP. Just my 2c.

I would like to procharge mine down the road. I got the boss for a great deal, it would have cost me another 15-20k for a Shelby. I dont want a pre-2013 shelby because I dont like how they look, and the boss is a great candidate for a supercharger with its beefed up internals and higher redline.

I am trying to decide between a procharger or a FRP twin screw.

I had a Procharger on my '05 GT and it was nice. Had some minor issues with it throwing codes and never had a chance to get it dialed in before I moved and had to sell the car. The nice thing about it would be the ability to keep the Boss intake manifold.

Pro charger is my top choice because 1. I don't think this car needs any more low end power and 2. I want to keep the pretty intake manifold.

I'm staying away from vortech/Paxton because of the possibility of them breaking in cold weather.

I am leaning toward the procharger just for that reason keeping my stock Boss intake. Also installation looks to be easier and less mods to make it fit the motor. Going to pull the trigger any day.

very first page of the manual. says under 25 degree startups may cause supercharger failure and its not covered by warranty.

I keep going back and forth about going FI. After a few autox runs it seems like a SC would just upset the balance of the car. I'm finding that I'm already having issues with keeping the tail in line as is. Maybe it might be a better fit if I was doing more track days...hummm.

I am having the same delima here. I see cars come out on auto-x days running superchargers and they are so **** fast makes me think maybe i shud. Then i drive my boss around and number one i dont want to upset the awesome balance of the car and two i also am having tail issues especially with the stock pirellis on the car. But dang they sure look, sound, and perform awesome when they are right. I have a list of other mods to make to the car first but with forged imternals already my opinion is that this car is begging fo a little boost.

All I can say is tax refund is way more than I thought it would be and I have been eye balling the pro charger since before I bought the boss. There was a twin turbo boss on eBay last week for 58,000 if I remember correct. The only thug that might keep me from going FI is getting the cobra jet intake and then shoot for 500hp Na I think that would be cool

Not in particular but the fact that the manufacturer says it means its possible. And it's that cold here for 3-4 months out of the year and I wouldn't want that possibility hanging over my head.
May as well get a pro charger or positive displacement supercharger and not worry about it
