That's ridiculous. What a waste. I can't believe they would put a blower on a car that wasn't designed for one. How ineffecient! BLASPHEMY!

So have you ever had a fast car? Ever put a blower on one? Ever been to the track?

And you gained what in the end?
About 150 horses at the rear wheels on average for an 11 GT running 7-8 psi.

Right - but I have not read anything that they are tweaking VCT to release excess pressure - as suggested in the earlier post. That's all I was commenting about. Yet they have been pretty modest in boost due to the cr - as compared to the 4.6 which had lower cr. Right?

I did similar (using a cam with more overlap than would be considered normal) with my 9.3:1 compression KB blown motor and you DON'T lose HP at high RPM's even if you bleed off a little torque at lower RPMs (which also help cool the exhaust valve a bit.)

the 4.6 had a lower CR, but so far they are runnign as much boost on the 5.0 as the 4.6 did and all is fine, teh 4.6 was 450-500whp before things started blowing up and the 5.0 kills that number. that said, i am not conviced they have found where the 5.0 is in the danger zone yet.
