The Car Wash perspective from someone that used to work at one. Anyone familiar with Delta Sonic in the Buffalo area and around? I worked for them in the mid 70's and spent a great deal of time finding replacement tires and wheel covers. If you like your car, I would avoid those, but that's just me.
A short horror story: Those brushes are extremely powerful and some of the folks working those places are 'less than attentive'. I pulled up at a location one night to hear this god-awful bang-bang-bang coming out of the wash. The roof brush had caught the antenna on a car and ripped it out of the fender. It then proceeded to beat the car - and the two cars behind it - every 4 inches, leaving some really nice dimples and breaking the glass. It was halfway down the roof of that third vehicle when I hit the kill switch. Doesn't happen often, but it can!
