I almost put on Roush mufflers, but I was looking around and saw and heard what the Borla ATAKs sound like on our Bosses. absolutely mean!! Like a race car!

I know they are $$ expensive and haven't seen them less than $780 bucks for just the simple bolt on mufflers. but, they are nice!! Half the weight too.

Anyone have them? Anyone get them for less money? Anyone Not like them and why?

I had the Roush's and I've heard the Ataks. The Roush's were louder but the Ataks were a bit more refined. I dont know if its worth $300 more but that's just my opinion. I actually have the S-Types on now. I only tried both with the baffles removed. Don't forget most of the big online stores give forum discounts. Every little bit helps.

No problem. The baffles on my SBY were removed by the dealer for free. I did help my friend remove his. About as easy as it comes. Just 3 bolts on each side. One near the rocker panel, 2 on the flange. Just undo all and pull out the baffle.
The Borla's do seem to be much better quality than the Roush's, btw. I have a video of the Roush's on my buddies Boss. I can send it if you want. Just let me know.

 

Oh ok, thanks. I actually removed the baffle restrict or plates myself the 1st day I bought my Boss. I thought you were talking about something else, inside the muffler itself.. Duh on my end. But besides that, please send me a vid of your Borlas if you can. I'm leaning towards them rather than the Roushes.

IMO the Flowmaster Outlaws sound better then the ATAKS.

 

SLP Loudmouths are the way to go. Mufflers? We don't need no stinking mufflers. First crank up in the morning with cold cats? Priceless

 

I have them and they sound great!!! No Drone what so ever!!! They are fairly quite until you step on the gas. They sound really good when your cruizing down the highway about 70mph. I've seen them on e-bay for $650 with free shipping.

 

I have the ATAKs on my Boss. I absolutely love them. I made this video the day I got them on, but they have become louder over time it seems....maybe I'm crazy, who knows?

I was originally getting Roush pipes but wound up picking up a 50% off Borla coupon at a car show, meant to be I guess. I'm in love with it now.
