I think some of you are in the Dallas area IIRC, if you are soloed at ECR in slidell near Denton (Dallas area) they will allow you to come on a member day and run all you want for $200. Anyone up for it Saturday?

 

Wish I could but I'm leaving that day to go visit family in South Dakota. Too bad I'm going to be on the other side of the state from Cloud9.

 

Shane... what's the situation for spectators? I've got zero track time, therefore wouldn't be running. But I might be able to come out to watch for a bit and to be able to meet up, talk Bosses, etc.

 

I think spectators are fine no charge either so come on out.

Regardless of who comes out to race, I'm still for a central TX BOSS meet.

 

that means you have done one or more of their track days and their instructors have said you are safe to be racing alone.

Also note, that they apparently don't allow non members all the time, just if enough members aren't coming to cover the workers for the track. i just found that bit out. so at least this time, this is how it works.

Sorry I missed ya, Shane. When I got to ECR they said you'd left about 45 minutes ago. So I'm guessing that was you in the CO/Black Boss that I saw going the other way on 287 about then?

 

Yes, i felt so bad i knew that was you when i saw you pass. i was hauling some serious **** and went through the factory pads almost to the backing in two sessions. I tried a third session but they were starting to sound funny so i had to pack it in. an i had fun though, turned my best times ever. i had trackamster on my android phone but it didn't work right in my first two sessions. recorded a 2:10 on the track, 3 seconds faster than my best lap ever with brakes i was nursing. sign up for the toy run dec 10, its the cheapest event of the year at $50, a new toy donation, and two canned food items. ill be there,

Same rules as far as being qualified/certified by the track staff?
I've never been on a road course before, looking for a first time.

 

the green group fills very, very fast. they will give instructors if they have enough.
