Anyone Interested in After Market Exhaust Discs

To me the 3/4 is a real good mix of sound, meaning the exhaust is not so loud you can hear the motor scream. 7/8 is OK but starts to get to the point of drowning out motor noise with exhaust. It is not much of a difference in size but it does make a big difference in sound. I was going to test a set at one inch but after hearing the 7/8 I will not even go that far.
As I said before I am looking for a good balanced sound, some guys really like it wide open but to me that is just loud for the sake being loud.
I will get an idea of what they cost to cut 50 of them, the material is cheap, the main cost is setup and shipping. If at that point someone here can cut them cheaper that is fine. When I get an idea of cost I will let every one know, so add on if interested. I think below 50 (25 sets) may make them more expensive and not worth doing in this fashion. I plan to have a set of 3/4 and 7/8, I can get them cut there and sets that are blank. I think (but will ask) it will add cost if there are many different size holes. The 1/2 will be easy to drill at at your home. If needed I could have them drill a 1/8 pilot hole in all but using your originals you can find the center.

I love high revving engines and I want to hear mine scream. That's why I want 1/2 and 3/4. Everyone hears differently so if the 3/4 drowns out the engine to my ears I'll go back to 1/2.

I think a lot of you will settle at 1/2 or 3/4 both good sound depending of what you are looking for.

I am working on a solution that might allow a range of adjustablility without removing or swapping parts. It's just a vision in my head at the moment, but I could flesh it out more if someone is willing to help get me the actual dimensions of the disks.

I traced mine and I would measure them out for you Chris but if I don't get it right that will not help you. It is not that I don't want to. I am trying to find a easy solution for these myself, they can be changed very easily, takes seconds. I personally have no interest in dump valves and wiring etc., others may but in my opinion there is a good sound to be found with a single set. The route I am taking with this is for people that want to install a set and forget about it, get a little sound without being overwhelming wide open. I started this because I figure they should be at least 20 other people that feel the same but one size does not fit all. The one thing most people agree on is 3/16 is way too small and there is little sound there.
If I can get this together and get a good price on them there is little to lose if people decide to change them later. I can ultimately cut a rough set of SS 20 gauge in the garage but would rather have a nice set of stamped out discs.

I wonder if you can order a disc from the dealer??? If so what do they cost? If they are cheap it might be easier to order from the dealer and drill them out yourself.

In my case my car will be parked inside an apartment building garage, so I'm keen to find an easy way to go from loud to quiet, one that doesn't cost 250$. My idea would be a manual solution that should be very quick to adjust, without the worry of losing disks, nuts, etc. Some pretty funky things can be done with a laser cutter...
