Antenna pocket or hole?

How will the car cover accomodate the antenna - pre-installed antenna pocket, pre-installed reinforced hole, or something else ?

You could just remove the antenna, thats what I do.

I haven't looked at the newer Mustang's rear antenna - from the pictures it looks like an upside down funnel - I guess then entire antenna removes only leaving a small stump like my front fender '08?

Yeah it is a little different but can still be removed. That is what I would do if it doesn't already have a hole or pocket. I would hate to cut a hole in the cover.

The car cover that I have for the GT500 has an integrated antenna pocket that slips over the antenna. Mirror pockets too. Made to fit the car specifically. Kinda nice!

I'm guessing the Boss cover will be the same. Antenna and mirror pockets. All custom fit.

When on my 3rd cover, I stopped making the antenna hole and instead just remove the antenna. Much better.

1. Its a PIA to find and insert the antenna in the hole.
2. The antenna hole tears. Even with the re-enforcing tape/grommet.

No antenna is by far the easiest for covering and uncovering the car. I needed a wrench to get it off the first time. But Its only on finger tight now so the R&R is only seconds. Much less time than dealing with the antenna and the hole was.

Tip, get a cover with the Mirror pockets. Much better and well worth it. Expect to pay a couple hundred for a decent cover. The cheepie cover sold at CostCo for 39 bucks do not have the mirror pockets so the fabric tents away from the sides of the car. Allowing wind and dirt to get up on the car. Really is best to have a cover cut specifically for your Mustang.

Thanks - That gives me hope. My '08 did not come with a pocket.

I,too, removed the antenna on my '08, but the antenna design is different on the newer Mustangs.
