Another NEW BOSS owner
Hi. First post (yeah I know, hit the newby thead....LOL). Picked up a '13 BOSS 302 in Race Red, 1-owner with 4k miles - #2987, #672 in RR. Came with all the BOSS items its supposed to come with. I couldn't be happier. Oh yeah, I got rid of my loaded low mile '11 Shelby GT500 to acquire the BOSS, and glad I did. I really dig the way it handles and RPM's.

Nothing at the moment. I'm not a fan of the factory wheels, so eventually those will get changed most likely. Other than that I really don't want to do any mods. Maybe a few suspension mods, but no engine mods. This will be left stock and driven on nice days/nights. Not a daily driver.

Congrats on the Boss purchase. You are going to enjoy every minute you spend in it. Its said to be the best mustang ever built. If its not a daily driver than there is no limit to the mods you can do. Mine is also not a daily driver and I have transformed it into an animal. enjoy

Thanks fellas. I've owned the car for two weeks now and only driven it one time. If weather holds I'll take it out for a nice drive today on some of our twisty roads.

Get it out & enjoy it as much as possible.

I drove my BOSS off the showroom floor and as soon as I hit the street and rowed the gears it was a DONE deal. Pound for pound the BOSS is an all around better car - for me.

Multiple things. 1st - the color black. Began to drive me crazy trying to keep it clean; labor of love that I began to really dislike. 2nd - it was the SVTPP model with all the bells/wihistles, plus suspension. Car never really felt nimble. It was a tank and drove/handled like one. 3rd - in order to get the full potential it needed a bigger heat exchanger w/dual fans, which I purchased, but never installed because I just decided to sell it. 4th - for a car that was basically brand new it felt lazy in the power (factory H/E sucked) area even though it has my BOSS covered in power/torque. 5th - Even with the Shelby's lengthy history and name, I believe my BOSS will be worth more as time passes and is more unique. I drove my BOSS off the showroom floor and as soon as I hit the street and rowed the gears it was a DONE deal. Pound for pound the BOSS is an all around better car - for me.

Ace,
Those look sweet. The wheels I believe I will be getting are the 20" TSW Mirabeau 5-stars - staggered/offset. They look really good. I will probably get the wheel/tire package from one of the popular stang vendors. Will be keeping the original wheels and storing them inside the house.
