Arrow Alcantara Suede Steering Wheel Problem.

I'm having an issue with the Alcantara Suede on the steering wheel, It's slick not grippy, I clean my hands (with soap and also tried alcohol wipes) every-time before I drive.

Isn't the Alcantara Suede supposed to offer better grip bare handed or is it designed for gloves?

I'll probably get some kind of leather or rubber wrap, but I love the looks of the Alcantara, am I the only one who thinks it's slippery feeling?

I have yet to wrap my hands around the 302's wheel, but typically it is not that slick at first. Ideally racing gloves, in fact, normal use will matte the suede down and it will become worn and slick

I have thought on a few occassions that mine seemed a bit slick as well. But no biggie, I just grip the wheel harder. Although that makes me wonder how long it will be before I wear a spot through the suede.

Not long - it's the nature of the beast.

I've noticed that grip on the steering wheel increases as my hands perspire. When my hands are dry, the alcantara tends to be more slippery. The trick is to drive hard and sweat, apparently.

I noticed it was slippery feeling at the Autox. I figured I would get some gloves.

Use those wipes on the wheel itself, or better yet, use some leather cleaner on it - should take care of any slickness.
