OLOA prep is good. Got some 19x9 19x10 Forgestars shod with Michelin PSS 265/35 295/30 for One Lap. Going to CMP in 2 weeks for testing and to give my co driver, Jon Krolewicz, some seat time. Then a couple of Autox, Sebring day, Roebling Road and maybe a trip to Hallett. Really looking forward to 2012 after missing the last 2 years.

Ive never had a grinding gear or the nibble from first to second. If I just drove mine on the street it would be rated 5 out of 5 stars, only on the drag strip I hit a brick wall shifting from 3 rd to 4 th.
Besides that its perfect, I went from a Mach1 to the Boss and I dont regret it for a second.

Hi guys,
If anyone is having any concerns with their vehicle, please bring it in to your Ford dealer for diagnosis and then, PM me with your VIN, dealer, mileage, and contact info so I can escalate this.

I agree....You cannot speak for everybody.
And yes I get it. That's why I looked to the web sites for opinions from people installing after market shifters. Then I looked at the different shifter on the market. Found only one who address the complete shifter issue, not just the cover and lever. Yea, several companies offer a rear mount bushing to replace the weak Ford mount. Only one company offers a double bushing on separate shafts. That's when I got it. Paid cash for it as a matter of fact.
And no, there are not a whole lot of magazines influencing me in Afghanistan. Get it.
I too have driven many different cars, trucks, semis, farm and industrial equipment. Standard shifters, air shifters, solid linkages, cable arrangements as well as automatics. My first after market shifter was the competition plus in 1978. A very impressive shifter. The standard I have compared other shifters to. The Ford shifter on the MT-82 does Not compare to the old reliable Comp Plus.
The shifter in the My Boss is NOT the worst stock shifter I have used. It just leaves a lot to be desired. The Muncie in my 1968 big block vette was a pure mystery shifter. Would it go into third or third and reverse?? Yes, very hard on the muncie. The Hurst shifter fixed that issue. That's why I looked into the hurst first. Not too impressive. No reverse lockout, a small light to install somewhere to warn you if you hit reverse. Poor reviese. Not reviews in magazines who of course sell parts. Reviews on line from many sources.
Other drivers, same results with the Boss.
So glad you are more capable then my self, the service manager from ford with 37 years experience, and other drivers who drove my Boss all with the same results.
Yea, I get it. I am not worthy.![Smile](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

I'm sorry if you took that personally, it wasn't meant to be directed at any of you guys........I have luck with my transmission and shifter (Thank God)..........My lost point was I think the magazine guys are somewhat bought off buy their sponsors who buy ads in their mafazine. So again, I'm sorry you took it personally, it wasn't supposed to be a knock on you guys or your driving ability.![Th Smiley Salute](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/th_smiley_salute.gif)

From my post you can see that I have driven ALOT of different vehicles. Boss is one of the best I have driven. Yep, I took it personal.
Changine the fluid and addint the MGW shifter has made a world of difference. Not one issue beyond a slight stiffness when cold. Had trh oilChanged in when the track key was installed. Shifter went in the day after I returned from AFG. Have not driven with only the oil change so I can't say which change made the most difference. I do know that several "Spirited" runs through 1st 2nd andinto third and I could not reproduce the issues I had with the stock shifter and original trans lube.
I did not plan on many mods. In fact, I may be done with changes now the shifting issues are gone. Well, maybe a gauge upgrade....
Appoligy Accepted.
