302S hood installed and grill delete mod

I am considering the Roush grille. It's still a work in progress regarding the front surround.
The finish on the fiber glass hood is very good. It's a very smooth gelcote.
I agree that a similar high gloss look would match the rest of the black on the car, but I was looking for functionality. And the satin type finish eliminates alot of glare from the hood.

Mammothcar1,
Looks like your are ready for serious racing!
I do like the suggestion of the Roush Grill. It looks like a good compromise between air flow and radiator protection. I'm tracking in the upper midwest so over heating has not been an issue yet. I'm also a Novice so I'm not pushing her as hard as some if you.

I love the look of our stock grilles. I even contemplated opening up the fake fogs for more airflow, but I'd rather keep all of my original parts intact for now.
I'm a firm believer in function over form in some cases. And in this case, I'd just rather get as much airflow as possible to the rad on the track.

I hope Ford Racing offers our grill with the light cut out soon, before I end up cutting mine out. Screw the snow ingestion guide lines, I'm in Canada and this thing is sleeping through the winter.

Buy a spare grille and drill the other out. I personally like the look of the drilled out one.

Here's a photo of one from a 302S. Note the vents are not cut out.
Kendall do you think a Rouse style bar grill will improve cooling enough to make a difference?

I think so. I want to try one.

What is the truth to the cooling fan, does it shut off at 40 MPH or is that a rumor? If that is the case and track key changes this, then maybe a grille mod and track key will be the answer for me.
