I guess we'll see how sales go, or more precisely how much demand there is. Since the cars are stripped down of any real options I think it limits their appeal to a major part of the market.
Many folks want power seats, bluetooth, Nav., and SAT. radio or a better sound system. So for them loading up a GT or stepping up to a GT500 is the more likely choice.

Don't forget, too, I'd expect to see the trim/minor bodywork changes coming for the '13 MY cars (see the 2013 GT500 thread in the Rumor Mill section) also applied to the Boss

On the Boss Ford took a page from the aftermarket tuners to create a performance model by upgrading the base GT for the primary purpose of track use and exclusively targeted for that particular segment of Mustang enthusiasts. It is that simple and it is not like Ford reps have promoted the Boss as anything other. Had the Boss been intended mainly for daily driving, cruising, or car shows, then there would be creatures comforts. At least we should be thankful Ford was kind enough to include the Shaker and A/C.

Yes, there's been quite a bit of talk about the lack of "luxuries" on the Boss, hasn't there. Whilst I admire Ford for sticking with a track-biased approach with the car and, therefore, excluding the fripperies we've come to expect on $40k+ cars I do wonder if the '13 won't at least have them as options. Ford do listen to their customers, afterall.

I definantly would have purchased a Boss in grabber green had they offered it this year. Had to settle for Comp Orange. Hopefully I will see it soon. I would think really hard about trading mine in if they offer it in Grabber Green in 2013.

Fine. We'll officially call it the Premium AM/FM Stereo W/Single-CD & Clock and with your approval, in capital letters to meet high testosterome levels.

It's not the Shaker 500.
Here's a pic from a Boss 302 on Ebay:
