Bummer I didn't get to meet up with you guys...it was very much a "working vacation". I was one of the first there daily, last to leave and spent the evenings with new potential clients. I know we returned messages and sent texts...guess we'll save it for BTA. What an amazing display of history...I'm sure anyone would love attending Rennsport V in 3 years time no matter what marques they prefer.

Hey BossBry I received your last text but I had already left for the airport in San Jose for my flight back home and was driving so I could not respond . It was a really awesome weekend there with an awful lot to see in the 2 days I was there. Besides seeing all the historic racecars my other two goals were to see Jerry Seinfeld and hopefully Chad McQueen both of which I am happy to say did happen. I have been to the Rennsport Reunion before but this was by far the absolute best. See you in April at the track.

Impressive...waiting in line for a cold water bottle and hearing "Is this seat taken?" I turned and saw Derek Bell taking his seat after the wide-eyed strangers allowed him to join the party.
Impressive...Jorg Bergmeister chllin' in the VIP area rather than the drivers lounge.
Impressive...Vic Elford taking a few moments with me. His favorite car?...917. Which variant of the 917? Any of them. Favorite race? Toss up between the Nurburgring and the Targa Florio. "Thanks for the memories Vic."
Impressive...the shriek of the Porsche V-10 as I pinned it in the tunnel leading to Cannery Row. It sounded like the entire Formula 1 grid was chasing me as it reverberated off the walls and ceiling. My apologies to the few driving ahead who had no idea what was coming...

Little review for everyone going or planning on going, especially if you are thinking about the second day
Day one East track
Great time and experience! Did some heel toe exercises, skid pad exercises, and some on track analysis. We then moved on to some lead follow and then some track time with ride along instructors, and then solo.
All the exercises were great. Lots of good stuff to learn and/or refresh.
On track analysis very cool to see what we should be looking for b4 driving the track.
Lead follow and ride along was great to see the perfect line
Solo was good to for some track time, practicing and working on what we learned.
Then a hot lap by an instructor to see what these cars are really capable of!
Go Ford!! What a great program and opportunity for all Boss owners. Classroom sessions were good. The instructors were very knowledgable, and helpful.everyone was nice and wanted us to become better track drivers!
Day Two West track
I feel like I wasted my money and I know one of the guys that did the FR500S felt the same way.
Two trips around the track in a van to go over the Track and corners.
1 lead follow
3 solo sessions (instructors were optional)
I lost 1/2 of 1 of my solo sessions because my car locked me out of all gears. I had to pull off the track at the end of the front straight, then nurse it back into the pit
There were class discussions between our track times
4 - 20 minute sessions??? Really? For $900 or $1600 in a FR500S. I feel that's a little expensive and had I known, I would not have opted for the second day. I'm posting this so everyone can see exactly what they are going to get and then decide if it's worth it to them and not go home feeling a little cheated.

Anyone going in Sept. ? I have dates for the 6th BTA and the 7th Utah wide open. I have purchased a ticket for my son to drive as well. As stated in a previous conversation this would be a great opportunity for some bonding with my son considering we are in 2 different cities.
He has no clue that he will get to drive a total surprise.
