BTW not much news with this but for fun you can punch your vehicle identification number into the fleet vehicle identification number decoder, it accepts the 2012 vehicle identification number's

Is it somewhat surprising they recommend installing the front splitter for track use? I mean certainly there are several mods that will make the car faster on the track, but I found it curious that they listed this almost as a "must have". I planned on the brake cooling kit, and wasn't aware of the trans scoop, but will buy that and it makes sense. However, I was planning to track it a few times before deciding on the front splitter. The Boss 302Rs in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge aren't running it.
I'm with you on the front splitter. It looks cool and I see the utility of it, but I think in the scheme of things it would be on of the last things I buy. Unless of course I hear about the tremendous improvements it makes for the weekend racers like me.
I hope some of the Ford Racing guys stop by and explain this.

Sounds like we're thinking alike on this. I'd sure like to hear more about why it made it on the track prep list........ Also curious why not the rear spoiler as I thought they were designed to wprk together.
