It's refreshing to see someone doing the right thing trying to reunite a car owner with its accessories. I can't get the previous owner of my Boss to relinquish the owners's kit.

Ask them if they could give you a contact phone number from the new owner, explain what you want to do, I don't think they should have problem with providing you with the info.

This. The 2 ford dealers I go to would give the info no problem. At least try and then you can say you made the attempt. I'm sure they will understand unless they are jerks.

No dealership in their right mind would give out client information to a third party in this day and age.
As a BMW sales manager, I would be fired the same day that it happened.

My cover is still in its package sitting on a shelf. The reason "Why" for me....there are a lot better covers made to cover my Boss for storage. Ones with multi layers...that help the finish breath and yet repel moisture from the outside. Plus....many years for now....having them in their shipping package may add to the attraction of my vehicle. I also set aside my factory floor mats.....call me crazy.

This. Your best bet is to contact the dealership and see if THEY will contact the client and either give him your contact info or get permission from him to giive out his.

Many years ago I got a call from a guy who identified himself as a potential buyer for a vehicle I traded in.
Apparently the salesman gave him my number.
So I told him the truth. The brakes had to be replaced after 14,000 miles and all of the window motors too. And the hole car started falling apart after 40,000 miles.
It was the truth though.

Sorry guys. Let me clarify. The dealer would contact the person not me. I forgot something similar to the o.p. and called the dealership. They told me they would call and let me know when to drop it off at the dealership. That way it didn't walk off setting around. Again sorry for confusion.
