I was thinking around 115 MPH for a good 1/4 mile trap speed, however the test location..altitude and temps.,would have an input on that.
As far as a low ET,the cars are packaged for handling, other than for great weight transfer,on launch.
Hopefully some good East Coast runs will appear, before the summertime heat/humidity rolls in.

After that, I am willing to bet the GT500 either checks out or is pulling so much timing that the Boss wins. I'll know a lot more in a month.
Yet you've hit right on what the GT500 is/was supposed to do. Its a glamor car, its sole purpose is to generate big numbers for magazine tests. Anything after that is secondary to its main mission as opposed to the Boss which is Ford's real track weapon.

This is a comparison from MT's instrumented times for the Boss and GT500

I'm still trying to figure out the reason for such close acceleration times despite the GT500 having a better P/W ratio (my guess; launch control combined with a single OD M6 and maybe TiVCT)

however look at the handling, the GT500 (the top dawg) performs better in lateral acceleration, MT's figure 8 and braking tests despite being 200 pounds heavier and having static suspension adjustments with less favorable weight distribution - both cars drive on the same size tire and both use the same size brakes, other than the suspension, the only difference are the tires. The GT500 rides on Goodyear 2nd gen Supercar Tires, and the Boss rides on Pirelli PZero's, I wonder how a Boss fitted with GYG2SC's would do in instrumented testing?

You might want to read the Motor Trend review...12.3 @115. It's all about the driver.

Them and the M3 fanbois...with some people, it's all about putting up good numbers and having a good race, and with others, it's all status symbols and outdated thinking
